Operation based on fluid pressure: when the pressure exceeds a certain threshold, the valve opens, allowing the fluid to pass. If the pressure drops or the flow reverses direction, the valve automatically closes, preventing the fluid from returning.

Used in high-pressure pipelines. Two types: Retainer and Retainerless. Autonomous operation.
